I know that Justin ( @greenshady ) doesn’t respond to support questions here since he has a paid support club membership thing, which I totally respect. BUT I can’t pay $20 to ask the question that will answer whether or not the Members plugin will do the one thing I need it to do. Sooooo… fellow Members plug-in users—HELP!
I’m only the webmaster (I’m doing the work pro bono for a non-profit org) of the site where I’d like to use Members. I am not the one who will be adding posts and events—there are about a half dozen volunteer editors for that. But it looks like only the ADMIN has access to the “Content Permissions” box in the post editor (the one that says
“Limit access to this post’s content to users of the selected roles.”) When people who have been assigned the role of “EDITOR” create a new post, they don’t even see that box at the bottom of the editor screen.
I’m not supposed to be mucking around in their content. They aren’t supposed to be mucking around in the admin dashboard. Does anyone know how I can make the functions of “Members” available to editors?
Thank you for reading and (hopefully) offering advice.
p.s. kind of ironic that the permission that I really need to be able to grant first is the Members plug-in itself, right? ; )
