feedwordpress: no updates imported

Just discovered the wonderful looking feedwordpress plugin (http://projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress/) but I can’t seem to get it to update/import any posts from the RSS feeds. I’m thinking this might have to do with DreamHost’s security restrictions. Any other DH users out there successfully using this plugin?
