# Feedwordpress help

 * I was wondering if anyone new anyway to configure the feedwordress plugin so 
   that I can get RSS excerpts and not entire posts.
 * Everything works but the feeds I get are long. I just want to get the excerpts
   and have users follow the link to the sites.

 * I thought of that last night but it doesnt work. The problem is that with the
   feedwordpress plugin the feeds are treated as posts not feeds. I need to find
   a feature o display the excerpt for posts as well I think.

 * Ok I solved it. I went back to forum topics and found a discussion on it from
   four months ago [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/79865?replies=24](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/79865?replies=24)
 * I followed the advice of the first post. If you change the index.php file and
   edit and replace
 * <?php the_content(); ?>
 * with
 * <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
 * it will convert the posts to excerpts.
