Hello guys, I’m in need of help before I hurt my brain more!
I’m trying to set up a rss feed for my website (grownassgeeks.com)
but I’m not sure what to do, or type in. I know it should be grownassgeeks.com/feed but I get this
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. And the rest is html code.
I’m using permalinks for my site so people can go to grownassgeeks.com/podcasts to get to my shows.
I guess a need a ez step by step way of setting up a feed, other info of note:
I’m hosting my mp3’s on Amazon’s s3 servers, and I want to use feedburner for my feed as well.
That’s what you’re supposed to see. 🙂
An RSS feed is a stream of data meant to be interpreted by a feed reader like http://rssowl.org/ not a web browser.
Some browsers, like Firefox, do have feed readers built-in, but other browsers do not. Chrome is one of the most notable examples of a browser which does not have a built-in feed reader, but Google does offer this extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rss-subscription-extensio/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd
Also, please note that you will need at least one published post for your feed to work properly.
