FEEDBACK WANTED: new design / theme launched

    Hey all,

    I was wondering if you’d liek to check out my new theme/design on http://www.sevenstripes.com/blog .

    I’m using the Mistylook theme and really like its look and feel.

    However I’m worried about the load time, which seems to take forever and I think its related to the large number of Blogrolls i use on the sidebar.

    Is there any way to speed up the loadtime of these blogrolls? Will adding a dropdown / switch menu list help speed it up ( http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/switchmenu.htm )

    Any other helpful advice would be appreciated!

    Wow. First thing is, your site is really LOOONG. Long sidebar, and too many posts showing on one page – which is probably contributing to the long load time you mentioned. Too much scrolling to get to the bottom of a page is really annoying. The dropdown menu may help a litle with the length of the sidebar, but with so much in that one sidebar, I personally would consider a three column theme.

    Other than that – yes, the site is very clean and neat. 🙂

    Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I’ve dropped the number of posts displayed to 10 or 8 I think.

    I’ve also shortened the sidebar a bit.

    I’ve just fully checked out your blog – obviously I think the theme’s great – but wanted to compliment you on your writing too – absolutely fantastic stuff.
