    When I try to upload a file attachment I just get the spinning ajax arrow and the console errors with:
    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()
    /wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/493/feedback:1

    WP = 5.6
    CF7 = 5.3.2

    – If I leave the file field blank it works.
    – It works fine on the staging site which is located on another server. Both sites are identical.
    – I disabled all plugins excluding CF7 & ACF Pro and it still didn’t work.
    – I have tried the solution from here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/contact-form-7-wp-json-404-error/
    – I have tried the solution from here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/contact-form-7-feedback-404/
    – rolled back to CF7 5.3.1, 5.3, 5.2.2, and 5.2.1 still didn’t work
    – tested in safari, chrome, firefox, edge in macos – not working
    – tested in safari on iPhone -it’s working

    The link below is for the LIVE site, all emails will come to me rather than the client whilst I’m trying to fix this. The form button is called “request quote” and it’s just after the fold.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    This has been working fine until recently. It’s a custom-built theme and as I mentioned it works correctly on staging but has now stopped working on the live server only when you include a file attachedment.

    other plugins are:
    ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO
    Advanced Custom Fields PRO
    Disable Flamingo Addressbook
    Flamingo
    Font Awesome
    Heartbeat Control by WP Rocket
    Live Preview for Contact Form 7
    Material Design for Contact Form 7
    MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress
    Really Simple SSL
    Redirection
    Safe SVG
    The Grid
    WP Maintenance Mode
    Yoast SEO

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Flamingo, and Yoast SEO.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    It works with the default theme on the live server, but it also works with my custom theme on the staging server.

    Hmmm, weird. Just tried it again on the custom theme and it’s working again.

    Maybe it was a temporary server issue? Or just need the theme turned off/on? I’m not sure how the theme could create a 404/403 error when tying to find /wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/493/feedback?

    Anyway, hopefully it’s sorted. thanks for your support.
