Hi there!
Thank you so much for your kind words — I’m really glad you’re enjoying PostEase – Frontend Editor!
Regarding the roles issue: please make sure you’ve selected the appropriate roles under
Settings → Frontend Quick Editor → Allowed Roles.
The plugin only shows the “Quick Edit” button to logged-in users whose role is checked there and who have permission to edit that specific post (for example, Authors can only edit their own posts).
As for your suggestion to add frontend delete functionality — that’s a great idea! 🙌
I’ve already noted it down for the next update, so users with the right permissions will be able to move posts to trash (or delete them permanently) directly from the frontend.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback — it really helps improve the plugin for everyone!
Labib, thank you for your Reply! 🙂
I’ve double-checked everything with user Roles and managed to fix my issue with editing!
I used a User Role Editor plugin to give ‘Contributors’ permission to edit / delete their own published posts and the Edit button appeared on the front-end! So you were absolutely right about ‘Author’ and ‘Editor’ roles—they DID possess the “power” all along 😬
So now the only thing which kinda bothers me is the ability to Delete posts, which you are kindly going to implement soon, THANK YOU for that! ^_^
