    Hi,

I’ve noticed an issue with the PowerPress feed protection feature.

The option to protect podcast feeds with a username and password works correctly with podcast channels, but it doesn’t work when using Custom Post Type Podcasting.

    Thanks in advance!

Correct. BUT, you can create a channel, assign it to a custom post-type and that should work just fine.

Using Channels for post-types is a better way of doing post-type podcasting and we are thinking about deprecating the Post-Type podcasting feature (leaving it for people using it now).

And how should I do it? I’ve created a channel and then in channel’s feed “Settings > Other” I’ve selected the custom post type. But that doesn’t link them.

    Thanks again.

The PowerPress channel metabox appears correctly in regular posts, but not in my Custom Post Type entries.

I’ve also tried registering a brand new CPT (to rule out any conflict with the existing one), but the metabox still doesn’t show up there.

Any idea what could be causing this or if it needs to be enabled somewhere for CPTs?

Found the solution: Podcasting for custom post type has to be deactivated for the channels to work in CPTs.
