Hi @benrock88
Thank you for the kind words, we really appreciate it.
Since this happened after migrating from v4 to v5, the first thing I’d recommend is triggering a manual fetch. On sites that were recently migrated, this often helps “kick-start” the automatic updates again.
Please try the following:
- Go to WP Admin > Aggregator > Sources
- Locate your source and click Fetch
This will manually fetch new items from the feed. In many cases, especially right after a v4 to v5 migration, running a manual fetch once also helps restore the automatic updates.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Hi Hendra,
Thanks for your reply. This worked. Pressing ‘Fetch’ for any source then prompted them all to be updated. This plugin is worth gold to me. It gives me a reason to read my website daily, whether anyone else does or not.
Regards,
Ben
Hi Ben ( @benrock88 )
I’m really glad to hear that everything is working properly now. Thank you for the kind words; they truly mean a lot to us.
If you ever feel that Aggregator has been helpful for your site, we would greatly appreciate a quick review here. It helps others discover the plugin and genuinely motivates our team to keep improving it.
Of course, no pressure at all. Just knowing it’s working well for you already makes us happy.
Thanks again, and feel free to reach out anytime.
Hi Hendra,
Thanks for your reply. Ok, I will write you a review; I believe I already did, but on second look, I now notice that only the feed that I specifically fetch is then updated on the display. I have hundreds of feeds. Is there any way to tickle them all (the active ones) without fetching each and every one individually?
Thanks again for your help.
Regards,
Ben
Hi Ben,
Thank you for your follow-up, and I completely understand the challenge, especially with hundreds of active feeds.
At the moment, a bulk “Fetch All Sources” option is not available in Aggregator. Each source needs to be triggered individually when performing a manual fetch.
I agree that having a way to trigger all active sources at once would be very helpful, particularly in cases like this. I’ve passed your feedback along to our team so it can be considered for future updates.
In the meantime, once a source has been manually fetched and the automatic updates resume properly, you should not need to continue doing this regularly. If you notice that automatic updates are still not running as expected, please let me know and we can take a closer look.
Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback and for using Aggregator.
