    Hi,

    Quite a few list of issues with my website.

    I have set disable cron to false. I also disabled all but major plugins while testing. I only had WPB Bakery Page builder, woocommerce, slider revolution, contact form and Woocommerce product feed pro enabled.

    This is the website: https://modernbarstools.co.uk

    1) Refreshing Feed, does not seem to do anything, especially after I add new fields and attributes it does not remap them. Only if I go into FTP and delete the CSV file and refresh it forcing it to create a new one it does the trick.

    2) Is it safe to refresh/close the page after clicking refresh feed?

    3) A lot of the times my feed WHILE creating it would go into gateway time out when I try to first time create it and it basically says its processing but it doesn’t. Whenever it doesn’t, it creates the feed in mere minutes.

    4) Is it possible to show Parent and Variations rather than Simple Products and Variations but not the parent as it currently does? For some reason it does not display the parent.

    5) Another big issue as far as I remember, the plugin does not actually update daily/hourly/ etc what could be the reason? Please this is extremely important and desperately need help, will pay or donate if need be.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Robert,

    Let me try answering your questions:

    1. The plugin should refresh the product feeds at the interval you set it during configuration (hourly, twice daily or daily). If it doesn’t do so than most often this has to do with file- or directory permissions being set to strict or a firewall/caching plugin that does not allow our plugin to do its magic. If you are using such a plugin please make sure you not only disable the plugin but also clear cache;

    2. Yes it is absolutely safe. The plugin will continue processing your product feeds in the background (using the WP cron for this);

    3. Hard to say what could be causing this. Timeouts only happen when you have tens of thousands of products and/or running an old version of PHP. The plugin requires PHP 5.y at minimum but we advise PHP 7 or higher. Again, such behavior could also be cause by a firewall/caching plugin. Make sure you flush the cache.

    4. The plugin only shows simple products and variation products. Not the parent of variation products as Google and Facebook both require those parents not to be in the feed. Which makes sense as you actually can’t buy the parent products, just it’s variations;

    5. See point 1.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Eva

    Does WP Rocket, a famous optimizing plugin can or does in anyway interfere?

    We are not familiar with using WP Rocket so we can’t tell if there is any interference with our plugin. However as it is a caching plugin it could be.

    Have you tried clearing the cache, pausing the WP Rocket plugin and run the product feed again? If the feed all of a sudden does work than you have your answer.

    I am going to assume that the issue at hand has been resolved or no longer needs our support. For housekeeping reasons I am going to close this issue now.

    Please feel free to reach out again whenever you need help.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Eva
