  • I’ve recently started getting the following warning:

Warning: call_user_func_array() []: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘feed_links_extra’ was given in /home/rggwebd1/public_html/tgc/news/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 339

I thought it was because I edited the search bar (just removed the label), but upon seeing the ‘feed_links_extra’ it obviously seems to be a problem with the RSS feed links.

These had not been working since I installed WP, but this is the first time that error has come up.

What should I do? Is there an option in the dashboard to “restore” the system?

Try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Switch to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issues.

    Also see:

I get the following error when trying to switch to the default theme:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function automatic_feed_links() in /home/rggwebd1/public_html/tgc/news/wp-content/themes/default/functions.php on line 7

I made no changes to the default theme.

I tried switching to the default theme, now that message comes up whenever I try to access the blog or change the theme, which is still shown as using Acid Rain. Can’t access any part of the admin area.

I increased the memory limit from 32MB to 64MB and now I get this message:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home/rggwebd1/public_html/tgc/news/wp-includes/default-widgets.php on line 15

There is no file “default-widgets.php” at that path, or anywhere that I can see. There is no chance I deleted it.

Must be something added in 2.8, because it is in the remote directory and not the local on my machine.

I just had your first problem after upgrading to 2.8.3 on one of my blogs. I just reinstalled a new copy on top of the old, and it got rid of the problem. I figure something screwed up with the download.
