Feed gone bad…help!!!!!!!

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 18114 bytes received (this is what my RSS widget is displaying)

I have no idea what to do about this. Bluehost told me to try resetting my RSS, but I don’t know how to do that. They then told me to contact the theme creator…so here I did that but no response yet and I’m at a loss.

I really need this fixed because I’m being featured on VERY popular site tomorrow and I’m expecting lots of new traffic and possible subscribers.

Can anyone help me fix my endlessly loading RSS!!?? It is not detectable by any feed validators or comment luv type systems. This just happened yesterday out of the blue.

honestly i have no idea! it was just the default feed when i set up the site. http://www.clothdiaperingmama.com/feed/rss or http://www.clothdiaperingmama.com/feed/

Don’t pull your own feed into your own site. It will cause all kinds of performance issues. The RSS widget is meant for displaying feeds from other sites.

thanks esmi…so how do i remedy this aside from removing the feed from my widget (already did that a few minutes ago). my feed is stil down. any idea.

Dude, don’t post in other topics when you have your own. That WAS hijacking. I deleted it.

If you have any caching on your site, flush it.

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

esmi 🙂 thanks for your help. i did all that and it still doesn’t work. any idea how to delete the link permanently so I can just use a feedburner service?

You can’t delete the feed. That’s what feedburner uses! Anyway, http://www.clothdiaperingmama.com/feed/ is currently working just fine for me (which was more than it was a few hours ago)
