Feed excerpts being appended

    If you have a look at the following site’s feed, you can see that each <description> entry is appended with “Corporate Speech SolutionsCorporate Speech Solutions”.

    http://www.corporatespeechsolutions.com/events/feed/

    When I put in a manual excerpt, one of the Corporate Speech Solutions disappears.

    I’m guessing this is being caused by some plugin, but I don’t know how to troubleshoot this. The template tag the_excerpt_rss(); is what creates the entry.

    Can anyone suggest any other WP resources to solve questions like this?

    So is Events a custom post type or is it a category? Or are you using an event plugin?

    Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    bemdesign, there is no events plugin (just happens to be the name of the category for posts).

    esmi, I like the troubleshooting approach. I’m a marketer with enough knowledge to add tags into the templates, but I’ll work with the designer to start testing the theme and plugins.
