I’m wanting a website which needs to be involved with a CMS so I thought of using Word Press. Does it have a certain way for one user to edit a certain page. For example there are home, news, about and contact pages. And I want to give one user to only edit the news page (not other pages).

Another thing for the website is it needs a members login so members can view hidden pages (pages that non member can’t see). The member’s login would involve a forum.

Is word press reliable to do this??

Yes, of course. WordPress can do all these stuff with the help of plugins.

    Sure. Here is the list...

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=member (membership related plugins)

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=forum (forum related plugins)

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=users (for user management that may not have been covered in the membership related plugins)

You can search the plugins by tag here... http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/
