Support » Plugin: Google Calendar List View » Features Request

  • Hi,

For years I have used ‘Google Calendar Widget’ but it has now been 6 years since it was last updated.

I like some of these features and it would be great to include them in your plugin please.

If a day has more than 1 event then they are all listed under the date rather than it list the date each time.

More details are found when clicking on the link in a ‘dropdown’ rather than a link to the full calendar.

    With thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for your interest in plugins.
    I updated the plugin (6.3).

If you set html_tag=”li2″ on the shortcode option,
events that take place on the same day will be shown together.
    ex.
    gc_list_view html_tag="li2"]

I can’t incorporate the dropdown feature directly, but I have added a title attribute to the link so that when you mouse over the link, you can see an excerpt of the event description.

If you want more customization, try using hooks. For details, please see the documentation (https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-view-google-calendar/#description).

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately [gc_list_view html_tag=”li2″] doesn’t work on waltonchurch.org. It displays ‘no events’.

[gc_list_view] using any other display setting works fine. e.g. p or li

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also to be able to have the mouseover, and disable the link would be even better.

    Thank you. dan.

If you specify [gc_list_view html_tag=”li2″], is there any error on the server?
In my test environment, it works fine.

Just to be sure, you can use
Please try to enter html_tag=”li2″ manually.

I will implement the function in next version.

I implemented the function in version 6.5.
After you update the plugin to version 6.5, and use “no_event_link” shortcode option.

    ex.
    [gc_list_view no_event_link="true"]

    I’m sorry.
For html_tag=”li2″, version 6.5 or the previous version had not been working. Please update to version 6.5.1, and please check again.
