Hello,
Thanks for this. I am interested in PRO and got the free free version, but some questions
1) from above… it seems like is based on post author, is it possible to set this based on the profile/user ID instead?
Other question:
2) Is it possible to completely disable “send message” (for sending new messages only)?
Essentially I want user A to message user B from the profile of user B. The only way communication starts is like this, so having the option to send a new message inside the messages would be redundant. (they either reply or go to a profile to start a new conversation and reply).
Thanks
Ok I think I found my answer in some old support threads for #2
So the only remaining question is #1 from above

Hey, any update on this?
To clarify I want to display the “message to” form on a profile page, and dynamically pull the ID or username or other identifiers to the shortcode so that I can add the shortcode to the profile page template and anytime a user uses the form it will go to the user on whose profile page the form was located.
Thanks!
But how should I customize the to?
{current-post-author} >> giving error
{current-author} >> sending message not to the profile owner but to the admin
{um-current-author} >> giving error
I understand I should use the shortcode (you linked to it before), but not sure how to configure to make it work
Hello? No help / support for this?
Is your profile page the default profile page of wordpress or you are using any custom plugin? If you are using custom plugin, please ask that plugin support to know how we can get user id of profile visited.
