• Since I installed the Theme My Login plugin – which works on my site – I am now unable to access the edit features that appear for the use of every post and page. These features appear on the right-hand side of every post while preparing the post and allow one the normal access to the post features – publish, format, categories, tabs, require membership, featured image etc. Unfortunately, the arrow buttons next to the headings of these titles won’t work and I cannot even publish any page or post let alone set a featured image or mark a post as being for members only etc. I am simply stuck unless I remove the Theme My Login plugin. Then those features will work again!

If, however, I now deactivate the Theme My Login, then when a member of my site wants to log in, they cannot because the login page calls up the Theme My Login plugin which is no longer installed, and there is no way for anywhere to log in to my site! I cannot even get my page back to working as normal as it was before the Theme My Login took over the main login page.

    Any assistance would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

If TML is deactivated, it is no longer overriding links – unless of course, the pages are cached…

I don’t understand what you mean by the pages being cached. My personal cache has been emptied numerous times but even after that, the same effect takes place. I have officially taken off the TML but I had lost my original plugin settings for Paid Memebrship Pro. I finally found a way to at least allow people to log in – though it looks quite unpleasant with just the WordPress main log-in screen. I would prefer something that looked a little more professional. But the TML just crashes my other settings (as above.)

So, are you trying to accomplish removing TML or using it?

I would like to use it. When I activate it, it will show up fine, but I will be unable to use the basic features even to publish a post, choose a featured image etc. At the moment – it is deactivated.

Do you see the WordPress footer in the admin when this happens?

    Thread Starter rebeliyahu

    (@rebeliyahu)

If you mean do I see the words at the bottom of the main admin page that say “Thank you for creating with WordPress” and then on the right it says “Version 4.9.8
” then the answer is yes. Otherwise I am not sure which footer you are referring to.

Yes, that would be it. I was wondering if you were encountering a fatal error – a telltale sign can be the lack of rendering of the rest of the page.Could you possibly upload a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

    Thread Starter rebeliyahu

    (@rebeliyahu)

I’d be happy to upload a screenshot – but I cannot find any option in this text box that will allow me to upload it! Do you know the secret to uploading the screenshot?

    Thank you again.

Use a service like ImgBB or similar.

    Awesome! Here you go: https://ibb.co/m8YUFK

You’ll see the menus on the right and the bottom of the post (empty area). Those menus are there – but nothing happens when I click on them. If I disable TML, they work just fine again. But I want the TML to work and be able to use those features.

Are you familiar with your browser’s “console”? Right-click anywhere within the page and click “Inspect Element”. In the tab that pops up, click on “Console” and then reload the page. Note or screenshot the errors.

Here is the link for the image of the console: https://ibb.co/c0mrvK

    Does that help?

There’s likely a conflict with another plugin. Can you disable other plugins besides TML and see if this still happens?

    Thread Starter rebeliyahu

    (@rebeliyahu)

I guess I could. I have some 60 plugins to get through…but I guess I will have to start disabling until I can find the problem.

    Thanks for all your input!
