Featured Posts with Featured Images

I looked through quite a few posts and I couldn’t find this answer, so I do apologize if it was answered some time ago.

I absolutely LOVE this theme, and I like using featured images but the Featured Posts slider that appears at the top of my posts page has to stretch the images so that they look terrible.

Is there a simple way to remove the feature posts slider? Or, do you happen to have the image dimensions that would look best on the slider the way it is?
