    Hi @dianewordsworth ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your featured images not being displayed on social media?

I have tried to replicate the issue however, after using Linkedin as an example of what image is pulled when pasting your URL, the featured image is pulled correctly: https://snipboard.io/r1m7UP.jpg

Please could you clear your site and browser caching to see if this makes any difference to what you are seeing on your end?

Additionally, I have found an article that may be helpful in this case:

    Hope this helps!

Thank you! I did clear out my cache, and I did try a scrape, but it still wasn’t working. I’ll have another look in the morning after my browser has definitely closed down and restarted, and I’ll check on the mobile phone too.

    Hi @roxannestoltz

I rebooted and cleared the cache again, but the featured images are still not showing on Facebook or Twitter, but they are showing on LinkedIn. They’re not showing on mobile either.

Mostly, the posts work. It’s just the ones where I’ve created an image in Canva, say. Sometimes they work, but usually it’s these that don’t work. And they were working until only a few weeks ago, so I don’t know if it’s a WP update or a plugin update.

So, sorry, but I still have the problem. 🙁

In case anyone is still looking into this, it still isn’t working properly. I’ve gone in and changed png images to jpg images and that’s working, so perhaps it’s the pngs.

    Hi @dianewordsworth ,

    Thanks for providing an update.

As a next step, please could you perform a conflict test to rule out any theme/plugin conflicts.

The best way to determine this is to:

    – Temporarily switch your theme to Twenty Twenty-Two
    – Disable all plugins
    – Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each until you find the one causing conflict.

Please see the below documentation for a more detailed explanation of how to do a conflict test here:

    https://wordpress.com/go/tutorials/how-to-manage-wordpress-theme-and-plugin-conflicts-with-three-easy-tactics/

You can clone your site to a staging environment and perform tests without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

Please let us know how this goes!

Thank you, @roxannestoltz. As soon as I get a chance, I’ll try that. It’s time consuming, though, as I’ve already changed the pictures that didn’t work to jpgs. Saying that, I still couldn’t get it to work on Twitter. So as soon as I can, I’ll give it a try – setting my theme up takes time too, so I need to schedule it in. 🙂

This is working now, but only if I use jpg images rather than png images. I’ve not had time to deactivate and reactivate all of my plugins. It will take far too much time away from my very busy work and I can’t afford to lose the income.
