Featured images not displaying on some mobile devices

    My static homepage displays blank space where featured images should appear on some mobile devices. I can access the same page on two Android phones – on one it works but on another it doesn’t. On a Windows desktop PC all is fine.

    If I watch the page load carefully, I see the image shown very briefly but it then disappears.

    When moving to the pages independently via the menu, the images are displayed ok.

    Any idea what is causing this please?

    Hi, what is the Android device that you’re seeing the issue on? Which browser are you using? Do you see it when using another browser or just the one?

    I visited the site on my iPhone 7 using Chrome and I’m able to see the featured header image ok.

    Thank you. Phone with the problem is an LG K10 (2017) running Android 8.1.0. Chrome has the problem. I just tried Firefox and that is fine – no problems displaying the images.

    Have you visited the site before on the phone with the problem using Chrome? If so, can you try using an incognito window to view the site from the phone with the issue if you haven’t already to see if it fixes itself?

    Unfortunately, I don’t have any access to a device using Android to be able to attempt to replicate.

    Ah, the problem doesn’t occur when I’m incognito. So, it’s personal to me? In that case, it’s not a big problem so long as it’s working for others. Can I fix this? I had already tried clearing my cache.

    If clearing your cache didn’t work, you can try visiting your site and adding something like ?nocache onto the end of the URL and that should force the cache to update.

    Fixed – Thank you!

    I tried various things. Clear All Data in Chrome Settings finally sorted it.
