I upgraded to Word Press 3.5 and everything seemed to be working fine, but now a week or two later I’ve noticed that none of my featured images are showing up any longer (www.jtwindows.com). There are only two posts where the featured images show up and I noticed that for whatever reason, for those two posts only, when I go to set the featured image, the upload screen/media manager screen has not been upgraded to the new 3.5 appearance. All my other posts when I go to set featured image the upload/media manager window has changed. Regardless, all the images show up in the posts on the admin side, just not on the actual site. How do I fix this? Can I downgrade back to 3.4.2 so I no longer have these issues?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

One of the plugins I used to build my site is called Elegant Builder. It is a visual drag and drop page builder from Elegant Themes. If I used that plugin to design/layout/add all the content and images to most of my pages, will deactivating it erase everything I did? If it will come back once I reactivate it then that’s fine, but I don’t want to deactivate it if it is going to erase all of my work.

    Thanks for your help

You would need to ask Elegant Theme about this.

Thank you for all of your help, it ended up being a server upgrade done by our hosting company. I didn’t realize it could cause those kinds of problems.

    Thank you again!
