Featured images in main grid

    Hello

    I’m liking Kahuna theme so far, but there is one detail that bugs me:

    In the main page, with the 4×3 posts square grid, each featured image is compressed into a square when displaying through the titles. When opened, the featured image is displayed nicely in the header.

    Is there a way to display them only cropped, and not forced to being resized to a square?
    I could go over every photo I have and crop squares out of them to replace them, but that would be very tedious, since I already have dozens os posts created.

    Another detail: I setup 12 latest posts to display in the homepage, what about all the other previous posts?
