Hi, I have just activated Edupress which is great but I have two problems with the home page:

    1. At the top where I should have sliding images, I have sliding black boxes
    2. There are no images appearing at the top of the three columns.

The documentation talks about custom posts, but does not give a step by step guide so I am stuck Thank you

Hi. I just started using it myself, but the slider is working for me. I have images set in the page itself under featured image. That seems to be where the theme gets the image.

As far as the custom post, not sure what they mean beyond showing the featured image, so for posts also add an image under Featured Image in your posts.

That is correct, you need to set featured images for your pages, there is no other location from where the images might come from.

Thank you both this was really helpful. I had never put featured images on a page before so I completely missed the section to add them when I was setting up a page. I have now learnt.

    I have two other question?

    1. Is there any way of stopping the first sentence, or limiting the number of words from the page, that appear over the featured image when the image appears in the slider on the home page?

    2. I do not understand why the jobs image on the home page is not working like the others as it is the same size as the others. any thoughts?

Sorry forgot to say the website is http://www.opensight.org.uk It is for a charity

    1. You can manually set the excerpt for your pages.

    2. If you installed the theme on a website with existing content (and existing images), then I recommend that you install, activate and run the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin. It will create new images of the sizes that are used by the theme.
