Support » Fixing WordPress » Featured Image with Overlay Color based on Category

I want to ask how can I set an overlay for featured images. I want to give a different colors, depending of category. Just for example, I want to have a yellow overlay on featured images under the category about books, and blue overlay under language category. You go to the books – you see a lot of yellow color. You go to the langauge, and you can see everything yellow. And because of that the main site with posts should be absolutely colorful. Yeah, that means that I should to set just only one category for each post or just to decide what color I want to set to each post and what color is more important for me.

I tried to set it with custom css, but probably I’m doing something wrong and it is doesn’t work for me. Is there any solution, or maybe just a plugin for making changes like that?

Look at the classes applied to the body tag on category pages. For example, <body id="cele" class="archive category category-gry-otome category-2"> Note that there are two classes added, “category” and “catgory-categoryslughere”. You can use those classes to target the CSS so it affects only those pages.
