    currentli i m running wordpress 4.6.1 on my localhost WAMP srvr. 
   but i am facing some problem when i upload an image on any post or any plugin.
   its showing **“”An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.””**

    Please provide 777 permission to uploads under wp-content folder. That will
   solve your problem.

 * Hello,
 * I am getting this same error, no matter what type of file type I upload (PNG &
   JPG).

 * I am able to upload directly to the media gallery, but my media gallery does 
   not load when I try to set a featured image for my post.
 * Error started occurring when I updated my WordPress. I have even re-installed
   the latest version again.
 * I have set my Upload folder permission to 777 and it has not helped.
 * Any additional suggestions are greatly appreciated.

 * Does the same thing happen if you’re using the default theme, or with all of 
   your plugins de-activated?
