Support » Fixing WordPress » Featured image post link on Home/front Page

  • Following an old post on here, I finally figured out how to make my featured images clickable and link to the post. The only problem is that it works everywhere except the home page, where it’s really most essential. Is there any workaround? Here’s the code I used to link the featured images (placed in my functions.php template):

    if ( has_post_thumbnail()) {
      echo '<a href="' . get_permalink($post->ID) . '" >';
      echo '</a>';

    More generally though, it seems like whatever is running my main page overrides whatever designs I implement for post pages generally. Most of what’s left on my design checklist is making the home page accept things I’ve already figured out with the other post pages (the “Post Authors” plug-in is the other big one left). Is there any more direct way that I can accomplish all of this? Something I can do to whatever is running my home page to make it more receptive to plug-ins like Post Author?
