    Hi.

I know that when you set a page as your “Posts” page, WP doesn’t actually load the page content – it’s more of a placeholder. Fine.

But I want to have a specific image showing where normally the Site-wide Header image or page specific Featured Image is shown on other pages.

I’ve done a lot of Googling and tried many things but with no joy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mark

    P.S. It’s a local dev site so can’t really give a URL.

This is just a quick idea. You could create a copy of header.php and name it header-front-page.php and then replace header image code with direct image code inside of this file.

Then you would copy index.php to front-page.php (or home.php). and then inside this file you would change the header.php function call. I will leave this for you to figure it out, but you will find the answer at:
