featured image not shown on social media

    copy and pasting a link to social media from my webshop woo (shop.aerotaxi.nl) product gives only my company logo in stead of the featured image of the product.

    I don’t know where and when this went wrong but before connecting my webshop to google merchant with analytics it all worked ok

    Doing the same from my leisure website Asmara.cc not having a woo shop but copy and paste a post it shows the article with featured image. Of course this website

    On both website I use Toast SEO plugin.

    I hope you can help me with this

    Thanks for reaching out about sharing your products on social media. I ran the sample URL you provided via the Facebook debugger and can confirm there’s no image, but there’s an error:

    URL requested a HTTP redirect, but it could not be followed.

    There’s a 307 redirect. See screenshot. You may want to share this with your web hosting provider since this redirect seems to be on the server-side.

    Bedankt voor je reactie. Ik heb je diverse links gevolgd en begrijp dat er een probleem is met een redirect 307, ik doe me niet slimmer voor dan ik ben.

    Ik ben sinds de commodore 64 bezig met computers en heb inmiddels 2 websites opgezet via WordPress (daarvoor Joomla) maar heb me nooit echt verdiept in de samenhang van o.m. codes. Natuurlijk kan ik wel een code wijzigen, maar alleen als 100% zeker weet wat ik doe.
    Kun je in jip&janneke taal vertellen wat die 307 doet en waarom dat nodig is, heeft dat iets met subdomein te maken.

    Qua snelheid komen mijn websites er ook al niet al te best uit, en ik focus me nu 100% op mijn webshop

    Daarna ga ik mijn host bellen alvast bedankt

    A 307 redirect states precisely that the requested URL has been moved to a temporary location and will be back in a while. This scenario is confusing affecting which URL Facebook is to fetch when you share your post.

    Your web hosting provider can remove this redirect to fix the issue Facebook is having with fetching your post.
