Featured image not displaying

    I’m using the following shortcode on my homepage and the featured image is not displaying even after images have been added to the gallery.

    Is there a specific way to add a featured image that I am missing?

    Images appear fine on the recipe details page.

    The gallery is different than the featured image. Be sure to add a “Featured Image” using the section on the right side of the edit screen:

    That’s what I thought, however I do not have the featured image option available?
    Only Publish and Category.
