• Hi there! I’m trying to create a professional website for my research, but having trouble getting the featured image positioning to be consistent across my pages. Here is my site: http://www.mallorymrice.com

If you look at the teaching menu the text rides up into the featured image a bit. This is what I would prefer the other pages to look like as well. But if you look at the Contact and Research pages they don’t look like this.. not sure why.

Any idea how to fix it?

Also any clue how to get Child pages to show up on the menu bar under the Parent page as a drop down?

  • Hi there,

I took a look over your site and it seems that you resolved this issue? The Contact and Research pages now have content that slightly overlaps their featured images and follow the same style as your Teaching page.

I also see that you’ve created a custom menu and added dropdown items to it. Nice job!

As an extra note: I noticed that your site is hosted over at WordPress.com while this forum is intended for folk who are hosted elsewhere and running on the free software available here at WordPress.org.

The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is an understandable and common point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.

As you’re on a paid plan over at WordPress.com, the contact form is the best place for you to access private support. If you have any extra questions then please contact support here:
