Hello! I’ve now tried posting a new post with Yoast SEO Plugin. Specifically choosing which image I want as featured in the Social Network tab. However, the problem persists. The featured image is not carried over to Facebook and I am at loss to what to do. Please help.

Hello!
Sorry, but I doubt you can do anything about it, even with my log in credentials.
Facebook has already acknowledged this is a bug with their initial crawling of the site.

Thanks anyway!
Yes, thanks to the Facebook developers who resolved the bug that had to do with initial scrapings of the image URLs.
Did you find the fix? I have the same issue and cannot find how to update or fix this?
Hi there, quick update. I did find a way to have Facebook rescrape the page but it is still pulling an incorrect featured image:

This screenshot does say that there is an issue with the Open Graph image:
Inferred Property
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

Does this help identify any issues on the plugin side?

Hello SweetPweb,
Thank you for writing back.
Facebook recently has done many changes in their API. Now Facebook doesn’t support the image sent from the API while auto-posting and it will fetch the image from the provided link in real time due to which the featured image is no longer shown in the auto-posted link unless it is mentioned in the og: image tag of the site.
For showing the appropriate image in the facebook while auto-posting, you will need to add og: image tag with proper image URL.
For setting the proper og tags, you can use SEO plugins such as Yoast or some other SEO plugin which have the option to set Facebook open graph tags.
You can also debug your site using the open graph debugger for necessary instructions to update og tags in your site.

Thank you!
Thank You @bikeshdhakal,
That solution worked great. I was able to enable the OG image settings in the All in One SEO plugin using their “social meta” add on.
Works great now and I appreciate the quick help!
