Featured image link issue

  • For some reason, the features image on select few of the posts doesn’t seem to work. Even though the featured image works prefectly fine with the actual post.

    Example of issue… http://designerfirst.com

Look at the sidebar and find the items “Credit Card Icon Set” or “Dark Social Icon Set” and you will notice that features images don’t work.

I tried clearing the cache, removing the featured image and placing it back again, and it still doesn’t work. Any idea as to why this happens?

    Thanks in advance!

  • How did you resolve it? I can it works now, got the same issue.

It’s a bit strange…but it has something to do with the file name. When you are selecting a featured image, you cannot have ‘+’ in the file name or place any text in the ‘Alternate Text’ field.

For an example, my featured image file name was Credit+Card+Icons.jpg and I had to delete the image altogether, rename the file without the ‘+’ signs (so it becomes Credit Card Icons.jpg). Re-upload the image and set it as the featured image again. Make sure to leave the ‘Alternate Text’ field blank as well.

    Hope this helps.
