    Hello,

first of all thanks for the great Morphology Lite. I love it!
I have just installed it and want to configure it now.

I would like the overview to the blogposts as in your demo:

    http://demos.shapedpixels.com/morphology-lite/blogging/

I have activated “Top Featured Image and Summery Centered”. But unfortunately for me the image is much bigger than on the demo. I would like it also smaller.

Do I need to use a specific size for the featured image to make it look like on the demo page?

    Thank you!

    hi Morgensonne,

Did you have existing posts on your site when you activated Morphology
If yes you may need to use a thumbnail re-generator to make the post images the correct size. https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Hi,

    thank you for your reply!

No, I did not have any existing posts. Just start a completely new blog. All posts I created only after activating the morphology theme. I’m still in the build-up and configuration phase and have only test-posts so far.

In addition, I have the problem that on pages (not posts) the featured image is displayed 2x πŸ™ The first image fills the whole content area from the left to the right edge. The second is slightly smaller.

    Please help!

Okay, I’ve now set the “coming soon” (under construction plugin) off.
So you can have a look.
    Thank you!

Here the image, which is too big:

for guidance our demo blog posts use size 685×400 featured images.

If you resize your blog post images accordingly (or at least a similar size – all the same) then you can create a same tidy look on your website.

First: Thank you very much for your friendly help.

I could solve the first problem now.
I had been guided by the forum post here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/optimal-image-size-for-theme/

You had written that with the setting “Top Featured Image and Summery Centered” the picture could have any size. I had mistakenly understood that the pictures would be adjusted automatically. Thanks for the note!

The second problem unfortunately is however unchanged.
Why is the featured image displayed twice on a static page?

    Hi,

please understand if I ask again……
No idea why the featured image is displayed twice in the static pages??

In this way, I can not use this great theme

did you add the image in the body of the post as well?

it should be only used as the featured image.

    Thread Starter Morgensonne

    (@morgensonne)

    No definitely not!
    Only as featured image.

Did you already have the opportunity to take a look at the problem?

We had a look at your issue and yes the featured img is duplicated however only on page templates.

In essence, pages not meant to have featured images in our theme.

We can make a fix for this eventually but I would advice you to have a look at these solutions:

    You can do 2 things:
    1. use Posts instead of Pages if you want to display a featured image
    2. or if you insist on using Pages – remove the featured image and add the image in the post as the first element.

Either of these options will instantly fix your problem, I have used options 2 on your test page to demonstrate the solution.

    regards

    Hi Imre,

thank you very much for the review!

I had already thought about your second proposed solution. As a workaround.
The first solution is eliminated because of the structure and separation of post and page in my planned project.

Since I have still a few other work to the planned blog, I maintain the first solution in mind. If you could make a solution in the theme, that would of course be optimal πŸ™‚

Thank you for giving me your time!
