# Featured image doesn’t work

 * Good evening.
    My WordPress theme already has a News post type, but it has a 
   different version of featured images [like this](https://prnt.sc/p1dx6g). But
   when adding a new entry, this image is not displayed when the news is displayed.
   The line “add_theme_support (‘post-thumbnails’);” is written in the functions.
   php file. I also checked [news -> Add News Item and there is no “featured image” field](https://prnt.sc/p1dxvl)
   there. But on the page for editing reviews or pages, [this field is](https://prnt.sc/p1dydh).
   How can I add featured image to this page or change the output of news from reviews
   or simple posts / pages? Thank you in advance!

 * Hello!
    Thanks for answer! I solved this problem – a plugin was plugged into 
   the wordpress theme that hides required fields for featured images. Disconnected
   it and now everything works! Thank you!
