[Resolved] featured image default size?

  • Hi, all the help pages I read tell me how to go into the codes to set the featured image. But I only want to know what the default feature image size is.

    thanks

  • I’m a bit confused about what you’re wanting to do.

I believe the default feature image size is the “medium” size set on Settings -> Media unless your theme sets a different size in its functions.php file.

Since the value is set in the admin, there is really no need to get it in code. If what you’re wanting is the original size of the image, you can use PHP’s getimagesize method to get the values for width, height, etc. for an image in your code.

Medium is what I need to know. I’m the admin and was trying to figure out what size to tell an author to use.
