# Featured Image Automatic Resizing

 * We use the Baskerville theme, and as none of the blog contributors are very advanced
   with WordPress, we didn’t want to customize the template so we would not have
   update issues.
 * We receive images from numerous different sources, and so the image sizes are
   all different, and when we use them in the Featured Image area the different 
   sizes wreak havoc with alignment and the presentation of the image with the article(
   the last one was bigger than the article itself).
 * Inserting images into the body of the article normally works fine, and we can
   adjust the alignment and size of those images in the Media Library as expected.
 * I have read that the best image size for the Featured Image is 1200 x 600 approximately,
   but changing the image size in the “Edit Image” area of Featured Image work has
   no effect
 * I would like to know what the size of the Featured Image field is, and perhaps
   we can just set the images to the correct dimensions when the articles are originally
   uploaded.
 * Except, so far, scaling the Featured Image size has no effect on how it looks
   on the article.
 * What’s happening? How can I fix it?

 * You can use any plugin to add the posts archive on the given pages.
 * Also, you can use the page builders to create the templates without changing 
   the theme templates and without touching the codebase.
 * I would like to know how you have build the above page so that I can suggest 
   the best approach to solve this issue.
