# Featured image auto-generated thumbnails not used

 * I’m wondering if posts with a featured image should not use the auto generated
   thumbnail in list view (f.example on index page). I can see that the posts are
   using the original image and scaling it down with CSS to the preferred size. 
   The original sizes are way too large for thumbnails and I would prefer to use
   the thumbnail or medium size created by WordPress. Is this possible?
