    Hi,

I have the featured image functionality for my theme (as it shows in my admin panel when i create a new page), however, when I set a featured image, nothing appears on my page when I preview it. I would like to have the option of displaying an image below the top navigation bar in my theme.

    Please see example

Any help will be much appreciated!

  • to output the ‘featured image’, use the_post_thumbnail()

can you post a link to your site?

    Thanks for your prompt reply!

I am using a theme purchased from template monster.com

Currently our company website is in development – http://temp-cnet-training.com/

The theme includes 4 page templates to work with:

    • Default
    • FAQs
    • Full width page
    • Home page

I would like to have the OPTION to display a ‘banner’ type image that sits just below the top navigation menu (like in the default twenty eleven theme)

I have some knowledge of the post_thumbnail function, and I have actually had this working on 1 of my page templates previously. However, I couldn’t get it to work on all of them. How would I accomplish this?

    Thanks again

if you need help with a purchased theme, please contact the theme’s seller for support.

this forum cannot (does not) support commercial themes.

I understand. I have already contacted the seller for support and haven’t heard anything back! This is something that isn’t necessarily priority ATM, yet, it needs to be solved.

I will have another go. When I get this solved I will post a solution.

    Thanks

Majority of the time that’s what you’re paying for is their support. They got your money therefore they should be supporting their work. Most of them unfortunately have the mentality that “aha I got your $$$, you’re on your own”.

    Good luck!

    Solved!
Very true wayoutwestmedia, I was able to contact them this morning via live chat on their website, they said my issue was beyond the scope of their support!!!

Anyway, the solution was actually very simple. After scowling through numerous articles and tutorials I was lead to the dynamic headers plugin.

I also found another way to accomplish the same effect without using the dynamic headers plugin, it was a little more long winded yet achieved the same effect. See the full article here.

    Hope this helps.
