 * The embed function is not currently supported for featured image. If you license
   an image through Getty Images, you should be able to see it in your media library
   and set it as the featured image.

 * This is an old thread, but I’ve been living under a rock and just found out about
   the whole Getty Images Embedded thing, which is amazing for the smaller budgeted
   sites that aren’t pulling in the big bucks. That said is there any plan to allow
   these embedded images to be used as featured images? With how amazingly WordPress
   and Getty Images have worked together to make this plugin, it seems that it would
   only make sense to find a way to use these images as featured images? If people
   are using them within posts, why wouldn’t you want them to be able to use those
   images for thumbnails and other featured image functions? So I was just curious
   if that was on the “to do list”?
