# Featured event

 * Is there a way to highlight an event? I would like to be able to highlight or
   recommend certain events in the different views. For example, on de list view,
   having on top a featured event for that month, or week, etc. Can this be done?

 * That’s a cool idea. It’s not a built in feature of our plugin to highlight a 
   given event. But if ytou would like to see us add that in the future please suggest
   it. [The Events Calendar: Suggest a feature](https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas).
 * It would be possible to build something like that using a theme override. [Themer’s Guide](http://m.tri.be/r5).
   It walks you through modifying the PHP templates so you change the look of things.
   Then you could use a custom field to say whether an event is featured or not,
   or perhaps a category or tag.
