Support » Theme: Minamaze » Featured Area Image Size

  • Hello

    I’ve uploaded new images to the three featured areas on the Homepage. When I viewed my page they were badly cropped.

    Does anyone know how to increase the image size? I assume some CSS is needed?

  • I am having the same problem with one specific image, no matter what size or format (PNG, JPG, BMP), it is displayed cropped. Other images similar in size or much larger are displayed fine in Feature section 3. I suspect it is a bug. I removed the text below, removed the sidebar assuming it might be causing a problem, but no change. I even tried to use Windows Paint rather that Adobe PS in case PS was adding something to the file. Again, no change.

    Update: I tested with another uploaded image and it’s not working either. Old images in the media library work, new images uploaded don’t…

    Seems like this issue was posted here 3 months ago with no final answer from the developers.

    Thanks for researching this Ender.

    But I deleted Minamaze, I couldn’t afford to waste any more time trying to fix it.

    Good luck with your efforts.

    I understand, but the solution was actually in these forums, but it took me forever to find since there is no forum search.

    Thanks to divinest for the solution:

    Open /wp-content/themes/minamaze/admin/main/options/02.homepage.php page and edited this line:

    if ( ! empty( $thinkup_homepage_section1_image ) )
    $thinkup_homepage_section1_image = wp_get_attachment_image_src($thinkup_homepage_section1_image, 'column3-1/3');

    Change the ‘column3-1/3’ to ‘full’

    Yes the WordPress Forums leave a lot to be desired. One would think what with all of Automattic’s available resources they would develop a better forum than this.

    Contextual searches by an individual plugin, theme etc really would help.

    As of today (21st July 2015) in Plugins and Hacks there are 869,775 Topics and 2,849,683 Posts

    IMHO the WordPress forum is bankrupt.

    (rant over)

    Thanks for the solution, I wont be using Minamaze. I’ve found that all too often with these “Freemium” themes the documentation is deliberately lacking, to try and force you to upgrade. I simply uninstalled and used another theme that I’ve tried and tested before. I just don’t have the time.

    (2nd rant over)

    Good Luck!
