• I just updated to Minamaze free 1.4.8, and my homepage customizations in the slider and feature areas disappeared, changing to theme stock content. I’m not worried about the images I’d loaded into the slider and the feature block headers, but the descriptions I’d written for each feature block is now gone. I can’t figure out how to get it back, nor do I have any record of what was there before the update. Please help!

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply.

I am not running a child theme, not have made any alterations to the theme.

I just updated after a long time of not updating so jumped a number of updates.

I have used a rollback plugin to take me back to 1.1.0 where it is fine again. Given this result I would say that it is indeed an issue with the theme.

    Hello @mjflower

Thanks for confirming, rest assured that the issue is not with the theme. The issue is that you unfortunately didn’t keep the theme updated regularly, so missed our on a number of important updates. The theme version you’re using (v1.1.0) was released on October 31st 2014. It is extremely outdated as such if you attempt your update from that version to the latest you will miss out on the intermediary steps needed for the migration from the old to new version.

The version you are using is extremely outdated and we recommend you update asap. You are also missing out on a number of features which improve the overall functionality of the theme, and other essential updates (such as SEO and speed improvements).

If you like we can assist you with the migration from the version you’re using the the latest version. If you’d like us to do this please reach out to us at http://www.thinkupthemes.com/contact with contact details. Do not send contact details in this public forum.

Keeping your theme updated is very important, if not only for security benefits.

    Kind regards.
