Interesting idea. I never heard about such way to write posts. I will take a close look and ponder about that. Thank you for sharing this idea.

    Great. Thanks.
I write nearly all my posts in MarsEdit. It’s been around for years, although still lacks support for WordPress Featured images. Yet most modern themes make big use of Featured images, so it’s a pain to have to upload the post (as a draft) and then add the image, and then publish it. I know most MarsEdit users find this a nuisance.

So I was looking for a tag/markup based way to indicate what the featured image should be. I think it would be a great addition to your all-in-one Featured images plugin. Since the markup-to-featured-image plugin hasn’t seen no development in a long while.

What’s more, MarsEdit supports Markdown syntax, as does WordPress. I write all my posts using Markdown. So it makes sense (to me, at least) to also be able to specify the Featured image using some markup of some kind.

    All the best…
