# Feature request: URL links

 * Thanks for updating this plugin! It’s very valuable.
 * This is a feature request: The ability to add URL links as documents. The way
   the plugin is configure now you can not.
 * Why? Users simply want to share a Google doc or other online document with the
   group. This would be a nice way to categorize and keep them up to date.
 * So in this scenario maybe there would be an ‘Add a Link’ button in addition to
   the ‘Upload a New Document’ button.
 * Let me know your thoughts.

    You can use other plugins for that. Try searching for Buddypress links

   and you have many options for that functionality

 * Thanks for the reply. I had previously looked at BuddyPress Links but it does
   not support BuddyPress Groups, plus it would be another plugin and menu item.
   It would be much better, imho, to have simple links capability in BP Group Documents.
