• It would be useful if Add from Server indicated which files have already been uploaded and registered in the Media Libary.

I’ve FTP’ed several files to the Upload folder, and then used Add from server, so they appear in the Media Library.

I now want to add some more files, but Add from Server does not show me which files have already been added and registered in the Media Library. It would be helpful if it did.
The best option would be to have the checkbox and filename greyed out, eg.:

    ===========================================
    Current Directory: /mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/lessons/lesson00pre1/
Quick Jump: WordPress Root | Uploads Folder | Content Folder
    [ ]	File
      	Parent Folder
    [--]	image1.png - Already uploaded
    [--]	image2.png - Already uploaded
    [ ]	image3.jpg
    [ ]	image4.png
    [--]	image5.png - Already uploaded
    [ ]	image6.png
    [ ]	image7.png
    [ ]	File

This would be very useful. I uploaded 40 images to my server, and then added them to the Library, which turned them into 160 images at various sizes.

Now when I upload 5 new files to the same folder, it is very difficult to see which are the new files. The following options would make this easier, either:

    1. Show which files are already registered with the media library

    2. Provide an option to sort the files by (a) date, (b) name, both Ascending/Descending
