Feature Request: Separate payment methods in WooCommerce

    Hi Matthias,

    we feel it desirable to have the various payment methods split up into separate WooCommerce Payment Gateways.

    At the moment the payment options on checkout look like this:

    • PayPal
    • Some Other Gateway
    • PayMill Payment
    • Credit Card
    • Direct Debit

    We think it should look like this instead:

    • PayPal
    • Some Other Gateway
    • [Paymill] Credit Card
    • [Paymill] Direct Debit

    This seems to be the canonical way from WooCommerce’s point of view. And it’s most certainly easier to handle for customers. They don’t know about payment providers and some might just not understand a nested payment selector. It can be assumed that a ‘flat’ selector would help shop owners to achieve higher conversion rates. At least for us it seems a very important detail and we would really appreciate your consideration. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Felix,

    the effort for allowing to split view of payment types into different independent forms is more than a minor tweak. Currently, I can not offer a rapid solution for that, as there are currently other priorities in my todo-list. Nevertheless, I’ll add your request to that list, but unfortunately, I can not make a time estimate for that.
