Feature Request: retain author option and save as new pending function

    Hi,

    First, I would like to thank you for a very useful plugin. If it’s not too much to ask I think a lot of people will find these two features handy.

    1.Retain author: an option that will allow to retain/copy the current author of the post/page.

    2.Save as new pending: just like save as new draft but will save as pending instead if the original post/page is in pending status.

    I already added these functionalities to my own copy of the plugin, if you need a copy of the modified files just let me know and I can send them to you. Also I am not good with PHP so the coding maybe flawed but so far it works for my site with the current plugin version (3.0.1).

    Hi,
    those are very interesting suggestions and they won’t be too hard to add as features.
    I’ll think about them after I’ve solved some bugs people have found.

    I’d love the idea n.1 too.
    We’re managing a blog but only 1 of the authors has to appear (and sometimes we forget to change the author)

    Hi,
    version 3.1.1, out now, adds an option to enable/disable the cloning of the author.

    As for the “Save as pending”, it did not made into the last version because it’s a little bit trickier than I thought. But I still have it in my future list.
