    Heya,

First of all, great plugin and thanks for still developing it even if the theme is two years old now. I’ve bought your plugin because it allows me to tweak my website to what I intended it to be like.
The only thing I’m not happy with (and I don’t know how to fix in CSS) is the turning point where narrow screen/window size toggles the top menu to a hamburger/mobile menu instead of normal full menu. Using your plugin I’ve set the navigation bar width and content width to 1000px. The menu almost needs the full width to display all top-level main menu items. When the screen size is, for instance, 800px the menu will split to a second line but I’d like to see hamburger menu (mobile menu) then. Only if I make it even narrower will it switch to mobile menu.

So, my feature request would be to have a slider in Nav Options to set the menu responsiveness, if possible. Pretty please?

OK, so this is progress πŸ™‚

Would you prefer the menu that appears on devices above 48em (and below your chosen breakpoint) were …

    1) either – Exactly the same as the mobile menu (this could take up a lot of screen space on larger screens)

    2) or – As it is now (the same as the desktop menu) but with sub menus working properly

I would say option (2) would be better and would create a sort of “medium” screen size menu. Let me know what you think.

Yes – definitely progress!!! I agree option 2 is probably better for intermediate screen (or window) sizes.

No pressure, just curious… Any progress on this request? πŸ˜‰

Sorry! It is on the “to do” list I promise! Just had quite a lot of bug fixes to sort out recently (and I was in the mountains) … won’t be long now I hope.

    Was awesome, thanks!

Just pushed an update. I think it’s done what you need but there may still be some work to do. Take a look please and get back to me.

    Heya Oliver,

The menu itself works as expected now but it does mess up the header layout on large screens. This is most obvious in Firefox for some reason (screen mostly black, scroll down for content) but happens to some extent in other browsers as well (black bar over the top half of header image).

For now I’ve put the breakpoint slider all the way left because the header layout made my site unusable on Firefox and to some lesser extent, other browsers as well. If you wanna see what it looked like, let me know and I’ll up the slider for you to see.

I’ve just pushed an update to fix this v1.9.4

So the problem was that I was trying to keep the medium version of the menu as a fixed menu. I think this may still be possible (maybe with a bit of javascript) but for now I’ve had to remove that and go back to the default behaviour which is for the menu when in “medium mode” to be in the flow of the content (below the header), not fixed to the top as it is with large screens.

Please try again and let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Oliver

Cool, I just checked. It seems some new unexpected behaviour was introduced. My findings:

    – On full screen (full menu), menu is at the top but doesn’t stay fixed at the top. Scrolling down loses the menu. It reappears when scrolling down to beneath the header but especially on the landing page, that’s unexpected.
    – On medium screen (hamburger menu), the menu appears somewhere at the bottom of the header as you said. Which works but it’s confusing, especially on the landing page, where one needs to scroll down in order to find the menu.
    – The menus themselves work well now though.

    Settings used:
    – Options to fix the menu at the top and to move the menu to the top are both selected.
    – Breakpoint slider is about halfway.

OK, so I was hoping that you weren’t fixing the menu to the top πŸ™‚

I need to have a think about how to fix the menu / move the menu to the top without breaking the medium breakpoint

    Getting there though I think.

    Sorry πŸ˜‰

I agree you’re getting there. And I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate your awesome service.

OK, I’ve added some tweaks and a bit of javascript. Please download v1.9.5 and see what you think.
