That involves actually changing the script from a toggle to an accordion. While it could be driven via shortcode setting, it’s a bit of an involved move. I’ll certainly add it to the feature list and see about adding it in a future version.
Hi John,
Many thanks for your super quick reply. I’ll look forward to this feature perhaps being added to a future version.
Cheers Andy
Just to mention that I’ve been using the WordPress FAQ Manager plugin by Andrew Norcross, which works well but doesn’t support linking to individual FAQs while keeping you on the FAQs page (can only link to individual FAQs as separate posts, away from the FAQs page). Also the WordPress FAQ Manager plugin has not been updated for over a year or supported by the author for the last nine months.
If you choose to implement the accordion functionality then I feel that this combined with the ability to link to individual FAQs (auto-opening the FAQ that’s been linked to and auto-closing the others) would make your Arconix FAQ plugin clearly superior to any other FAQ plugin available (and I’ve tried many!), and that’s before taking into account your excellent support.
Thanks again, Andy
I don’t want to hijack someone else’s thread, but I do hope that adding an accordion option wouldn’t be at the expense of the current toggle mode.
Toggling is, in my opinion, far superior because it allows the reader to choose what s/he wants to happen, rather than being dictated to by the website. In fact, it’s one of the main features that brought me to using this plugin in preference to several others.
Adding an accordion option to the plugin would always be in addition to the toggle option, not in place of.
Hi John,
Great plugin. I too would be interested in having all the questions close when one is opened. Just wanted to show support for the plugin and an accordion option.
Thanks!
Hi John, many thanks for adding the accordion option!
Cheers
Andy
