• Hi,

I came across this widget (link) that offers a great way to display business hours. I hope you would consider adding these features:

    1. Allow to add exceptions for a date range
    2. Allow to add and show a note for exceptions
    3. Allow to add a general note that displays below the opening hours (use case: last kitchen order 30 minutes before closing time)
    4. Show today’s date in bold and red if closed / green if open
    5. Show an extra ‘current’ status at the top: “Closed, opens in 1h 57m” / “Open until 17:00”
(and have an option to only show that line)
    6. Show exceptions below standard hours in date order rather than separating exceptions as special hours and holidays

    Have a look, it’s awesome!

    Thanks
    JP

    Thanks for the suggestions.

For #6, showing in order of date will be part of our next update, but they will still be separated based on whether it’s a modified-schedule or a closed-all-day exception.

#1 will likely be implemented (similar to how it’s done in the reservations plugin), but we currently have no timeline for when.

We can look into the possibility of doing something like #4 should we get more demand, but it isn’t something on our radar at the moment.

#2, #3 and #5 are unlikely to be implemented. For #3 you can write regular content on your page below the shortcode/block.

    Thank you for your reply.
I hope you keep track of demand for these feature requests.

Thanks for implementing the date range and date order in v2.3.14, really useful. I hope #4 and #5 will also be implemented one day, as well as an option to not separate special and closed hours.

This change introduced a small issue though. Before, when you saved the settings screen, all past exception would automatically be removed. That doesn’t work anymore. And when fixing, it would be better to remove past exceptions as soon as you open the settings screen.

    Thanks

Our stance on the remaining features in your list remains the same as in my last reply.

Past exceptions do not display on the front end. Only on the settings (or location edit) admin screen where you make the exceptions. And they can easily be removed from there with one click. In our experience/contact with users, we’ve found that people (would) like the ability to modify past exceptions to make future ones.
